Petaluma Fair, Destruction Derby & BMX

• Front Gate at Ticket Stand at Petaluma Speedway to remain locked and inoperable the entirety of the fair.
• All spectators, etc will enter the Petaluma Speedway through the double wooden doors, right by Bev Wilson Hall. Look for the sign to Speedway from the main Concourse.
• BMX exhibition OR competing riders may enter the BMX track and pit area through the PASSTHROUGH GATE at the track flagstand. (See map at end of document)
• BMX exhibition OR competing riders may also enter the BMX track and pit area through the PIT GATE behind the speedway and through Lot B parking lot. ALL must stop at white booth and sign liability and park in parking lot only. (The only cars allowed in Pit area are Derby cars/rigs- no other parking allowed!) (See map at end of document)
• Derby cars and drivers may ONLY enter the pit area through the PIT GATE behind the speedway and through Lot B parking lot. • ALL BMX entries will have to be 18 years or older OR have a legal guardian with them and sign a release of liability and get a wristband for participation. THIS WRISTBAND IS NOT FOR THE PETALUMA FAIR. 
• All Derby entries will have to have a valid driver’s license and sign a release of liability and get a wristband for participation. THIS WRISTBAND IS NOT FOR THE PETALUMA FAIR. 
• One person plus the BMX competitor/exibitionist is allowed inside the track areas and pit areas. All other spectators need to enter through the fair, then through the Speedway to the Grandstands. Please make arrangements for other children, family and friends in advance, as they will not be let into pit and exhibition areas. NO EXCEPTIONS

• Gates open at 11am – Community rides from 11am-3pm
• BMX Straight Rhythm exhibition racing starting at 4pm
• Derby starts around 5:30pm
• Derby car/driver arrival times are 11am to 4pm.  Tech closes at 4pm, and if the derby car has not passed tech by 4pm, it will not participate.
• Derby drivers and their crew must pay their $40 pit pass when signing their liability release forms OR can go to https://www.myracepass.com/events/569922 to purchase in advance.  PETALUMA SPEEDWAY DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ONSITE! Bring cash.
• Derby Registrants MUST PRE-REGISTER here https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/1869/registrations
• Please remember – you must get a FAIR wristband from the Fair Ticket Gates to attend the fair & watch the Bmx and Derby. You will not be able to go from the pits straight to fair through the Speedway. 

Petaluma Speedway Destruction Derby Rules

1. Any 1980 and newer 2 wheel drive passenger car/mini-van/mini-truck/mid-size SUV.
2. All vehicles must be stripped of all plastic, glass, headlights, taillights and anything else that could fall off onto the track during the show.
3. All vehicles must remain stock, ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ANYWHERE for reinforcement.
4. Bumpers must remain stock, do not alter the bumper in any way. Factory bumper shocks must remain in the factory location. You may remove rear bumpers and shocks. There is again, no welding to be done on bumpers.
5. Batteries may be left in stock location and spray foam may be added around the battery. You may also move the battery to the passenger floor or seat. Please secure it and make sure it is not moving.
6. If the factory gas tank is in front of the axle you may leave it there.  If it is behind the axle, you must move it to the rear seat area.  Factory tanks may be moved inside but must be completely secured. Aftermarket tanks may be used.
7. All doors may be wired or chained in 6 places, MAX, per seam.
8. Trunks, hoods, tailgates, all may be wired or chained in 6 places total, Sheet metal to sheet meal only.  Nothing wired or chained to the frame or bumpers.  If you remove the trunk or tailgate you lose that wire or chain.
9. Rear Seat bar may be added. It may be welded to a post.  If you have to add something to get it away from the seat, please call. This is only to stop sides from coming in, not to help other parts of the vehicle.
10. The driver’s door only may have a plate welded on the outside or inside, for driver safety.
11. DOT tires only. Stock wheels only. All wheel weights must be removed. Only tubes & air are permitted inside of the tires.

Rules are cut and dry, if it does not say you CAN do it, then that means you CANNOT do it.
